Step into February - A Virtual Movement Challenge

In a world that seems to be moving faster than ever, it is important to take a step back and savor the simple joys. We invite you to join our FREE virtual movement challenge, "Step into February." This challenge is designed to encourage the joy of movement in nature for everyone. Whether you prefer walking, running, skiing, snowshoeing, or something else completely, this challenge is about celebrating the beauty of staying active while connecting with the outdoors. To reduce barriers to outdoor activity during the Winter time, we have partnered with Royal City Nursery to keep you moving in nature with Walkway to Wellness. New Programs open to EVERYONE

Up and Running Guelph is thrilled to announce the launch of our gender inclusive programs. From April 15 to May 23, we will be leading a 6-week pilot project that opens our doors to everyone, aged 18+. This initiative aims to create more opportunities for individuals to experience the mood-boosting benefits of exercise and nature within a supportive community. Everyone has mental health and can benefit from spending more time moving outdoors with others. This pilot project marks a significant step towards a more inclusive and diverse wellness community. As we embark on this journey, we are actively recruiting program volunteers to help deliver and shape this exciting new chapter. Stay tuned for registration information. Walking and Running Programs for Women

For those who have found joy and empowerment in our Walking and Running Programs for Women, fear not! We are committed to protecting this space. Our Winter programs are still open for registrations and our Spring program is set to kick off from April 1 to June 6. These programs provide a supportive and encouraging environment for women to connect with like-minded individuals, and immerse themselves in the rejuvenating power of nature. Wellness Workshops for Women

In a world that often feels isolating, we understand the importance of cultivating a sense of belonging and camaraderie. In addition to our regular walking and running programs, we've expanded our offerings to provide even more opportunities for our community to come together.

The Wellness Workshops for Women series, debuted on January 24, 2024, with "In the Feels," hosted by Mary Soppitt, Psychotherapist (qualifying). This insightful workshop delved into the nuances of emotional well-being, providing valuable tools for navigating the complexities of our inner worlds. Looking ahead, mark your calendars for February 4, 2024, as we collaborate with Defy Sports Performance and Physiotherapy for the "Walk Well" workshop. Patty Fraser, a registered physiotherapist, will be leading this session, sharing invaluable information to ensure you feel your best during your walks.
